A little bit about me...
My elevator PITCH:
I have been working in customer and user experience for the majority of my career...13 years or so. I began my career as a "web" designer that quickly realized it was the simplicity of the intersection of technology and humans that made me tick. It was over a decade ago when I had the opportunity to do true experience strategy and research for the first time in a small organization that supported user research and experience design. Today, I am a research guru at heart and an advocate for clear communication through design. I'm both creative and analytical, driven to create well-thought-out, relevant, useful and intuitive experience solutions for real users.
Now you know MY professional speil, let's have some fun.
While yes, I answer that I'm an Experience Strategist, User Experience Designer, Information Architect or User Researcher when asked about my professional career, there are many ways I describe who I am outside of "the office."
Dog Lover
This is my dog. His name is Grr (that’s 2 “r’s,” not 3. He is very particular).
Travel
Enthusiast
While I have not been everywhere, I’m up for adventuring anywhere!
Wedding
Photographer
In my free time on the weekends I photograph weddings with my husband (who is a wedding photographer).
AMATEUR GARDENER
I like to watch things grow. And I whole-heartedly believe plants grow faster with dinosaurs.
Minimalist-in-training
I aspire to live a minimalist life. Every year I rent a dumpster and purge all the things I find I need the following year (insert face-palm emoji here).
Wannabe
coffee connoisseur
I like to pretend I love coffee in all shapes and forms like a wino loves wine. However, when given the choice, an iced latte from Dunkin’ Donuts wins. Every. Single. Time.
